Inspired by memories of living with cats, especially the comfort they brought during the early years of childhood, Kanako Okamoto paints bot only their gestures and expressions, but also the traces these felines leave behind: the cool tough of fur, a tail brushing past, a fleeting shadow. In Cat Studies, the artist invites viewers to reconnect with their own memories and the small stories shared with cats.
