Sashiko hand-stitched baby hanky
Pickup currently unavailable
Sashiko, a traditional needlework technique that originated in Japan rural communities as a way to mend and reinforce old clothing and household textiles. Over time, it evolved into a respectful decorative stitching that celebrates the spirit of repair and imperfection.
This collection is designed by Tomoko Teshima, who fell in love with the charm of Sashiko needlework. Each piece reflects her dedication to Japanese craftsmanship and the quiet joy of making things by hand.
Each hanky is made with Sarashi 100% cotton, measuring 6” x 6” square. These hankies bring a small, satisfying pleasure and easy to carry in your pocket or bag.
Care Instructions: Hand wash gently in cold water using mild detergent. Lay flat or hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Iron on low heat if needed
